In 2004 G. Kitov discovered the mask in the mound “The Saint” near Shipka, Kazanlak. It is part of extensive inventory in a tomb of a Thracian king of the fifth century BC. The mask is made of 23-karat gold , weight 600 g. Displayed male face with individual features, mustache and beard and is known as The Mask of King Teres.
